• Where are we now?

  • Summer 2023: Request for qualifications (RFQ) launched and open for response by interested general contractors and development firms. Visit go.donhuey.net/CSUBuy to find the RFQ. Request for proposals (RFP) released to a shortlist of qualified bidders selected by the university following the RFQ process.

• What is the general timeline for this project?

  • Fall 2022: campus community outreach; demand surveys; preparation for presentation before the California State University Board of Trustees; beginning of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) environmental impact study process.

    Early spring 2023: Conceptual approval by the CSU Board of Trustees.

    Summer 2023: Request for qualifications (RFQ) launched and open for response by interested general contractors and development firms. Visit go.donhuey.net/CSUBuy to find the RFQ. Request for proposals (RFP) released to a shortlist of qualified bidders selected by the university following the RFQ process.

    Late summer, early fall 2023: Awarding of contracts at the conclusion of the RFP selection process.

    Fall 2023: development plan approval by the CSU Board of Trustees; design under way; CEQA complete.

    Spring 2024: Design complete; permitting under way.

    Later 2024: Construction under way.

    2027: Construction complete; leasing under way.
