You can pay with a cashier's check by mail (see below), in person in the Student Services Center at the 财务主管的办公室 现金iering Services windows, or you may place your cashier's check payment in the night depository which is located to the right of the front entrance of the Student Services Center (under the scrolling electronic sign).

  • Make cashier's check payable to San José State University or 利记
  • Mail cashier's checks to:

  • The student’s 利记 ID number 必须 be on the face of the cashier's check
  • 收银员支票 will not be returned to the student
  • Postmarks are not accepted. Check 必须 be stamped received 在我们的办公室付款截止日期; otherwise, classes are subject to enrollment cancellation

Note: 收银员支票 cannot be used to make an 电子支票 在线支付.


Reporting 现金支付 Greater Than $10,000

In accordance with the U.S. Department of the Treasury Publication 1544, 利记 is required to report all cumulative cash transactions more than $10,000 within a 365-day time period to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This is reported on IRS Form 8300. 现金 is defined in this publication as:

  • 货币

  • Traveler's checks
  • 银行汇票

One of the required fields on IRS Form 8300 is either the Social Security Number (SSN) or Passport Number of the student making the payment. Please be prepared to provide this information at the time you present your payment if using 一个 of the cash payment methods listed above and the total payments made within the calendar year exceed $10,000.
