先决条件:

  • Baccalaureate degree with overall minimum GPA of 3.0 in last 60 semester or quarter 单位
  • Strong writing skills 和 evidence of quantitative ability
  • Multicultural experience, including diversity
  • Clear commitment to public health as demonstrated through work or volunteer experiences
  • Clear underst和ing of public health 和 社区 health education
  • 2 years post-baccalaureate public health related experience 首选
  • GRE is no longer needed
  • Submission of 2 applications
    • To 利记 via 加州申请 和 到公共卫生硕士项目. See Checklist below for details.
    • We highly recommend to submit applications at the same or similar timeframe.

Step 1: Applying to 利记 (on 加州申请)

  1. Review 利记/加州申请 deadlines
  2. 利记期限 differ from the MPH program deadlines.
    • 利记 Domestic deadline is 2024年6月1日* (Document deadline is June 20, 2024).
      • *Due to enrollment capacity, we highly recommend the CalStateApply 和 MPH application be submitted as soon as possible.

  5. Send official transcripts (via mail or electronically):

Step 2: Applying to the 英里每小时计划

  1. Select 一种格式 only (Campus or Online). 你可能 不 transfer after acceptance.
  2. Review 英里每小时计划 deadlines
    • Submit your MPH application by 2024年6月1日 (滚动招生). 
      • The program deadline has been extended to 2024年6月1日 (previous deadline was May 1, 2024). If the program meets enrollment capacity before the deadline, we will no longer accept applications or review pending applications.  
      • 如果你是 国际 applicant, you must submit a 利记/加州申请 application by 2024年4月1日.  
  3. Two letters of recommendation
    • The 英里每小时计划 will request letters from your writer directly. Letters from applicants 不被接受. Letters must be on official letterhead, signed, 和 include contact information of author.
    • Letters can be submitted after application deadlines.

  5. Statement of Purpose (1-2 pages)
    1. A statement of purpose is an important document in your application. 这是一个空间 for you to tell us what sets you apart from all the other applicants in terms of academic 和 professional background, your personal interests, beliefs 和 goals.
    2. When you are writing your statement of purpose for the 利记 英里每小时计划, please include 以下几点:
      • What led you to public health
      • How in your past 和/or current work/volunteering you have engaged with diverse cultures 和/or communities, using specific examples
      • Why you want to pursue a masters degree in public health (particularly in our program, an MPH in Community Health 教育)
      • How receiving an MPH from our program will help you achieve your professional goals
      • What strengths/qualities you will bring to the 利记 MPH program 和 the 利记 Spartan 社区

  7. Fill out 和 complete the online MPH application
